About Us

We are the Indiana chapter of the American College of Healthcare Executives, established in 1999. ACHE of IN embraces diversity within the healthcare management field and recognizes that priority as both an ethical and business imperative. Our membership recognizes that an inclusive environment can enhance the quality of healthcare, improve hospital/community relations, and positively affect the health status of society.

We currently have over 900 members, and a team of about 40 members committed to support your goals to connect, succeed, learn, advance and lead in the healthcare industry.

For more than 85 years, ACHE has stayed focused on advancing leaders and fostering an environment of healthcare leadership excellence. The ACHE is 48,000 members strong across 77 different chapters.

Our History

The Indy Area Healthcare Executives Network was established in May of 1999 by Barbara Broadbridge, President and Owner of The Broadbridge Group, with the support of the ACHE Regents advisory council. Its primary purpose was to introduce executives from various sectors of healthcare in central Indiana and assist them in developing long term professional relationships. The organization grew to include executives from all over Indiana and surrounding states. IHEN formally affiliated with ACHE in 2001 and after changing it’s name to the Indiana Healthcare Executives Network, was incorporated in 2003.

Quarterly meetings have been held in Indianapolis every May, September, November, and February with attendance ranging from 25 to 100 executives. In 2004 we began conducting meetings in Northern and Southern Indiana. Events are intentionally scheduled with networking time at the beginning and end of every meeting.

In 2023 iHEN unveiled our chapter's new identity: ACHE of Indiana. This rebranding is an alignment with the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), marking a pivotal moment in our journey towards closer collaboration, shared values, and a stronger connection to a renowned institution dedicated to healthcare excellence. We embrace this change with enthusiasm and a commitment to advancing healthcare leadership across our great state.

The ACHE of Indiana Advisory Board includes executives from various sectors of healthcare to ensure all segments of the healthcare industry are represented in the Network. Advisory Board elections are held in November for the following year. ACHE of Indiana would like to thank past advisory board members for their dedication and service.
